Thailand has been, for many years, a preferred destination for Western sex tourists. But make no mistake.
White Western men are considered more attractive than their local counterparts in many countries of the world.
Thailand actually is one of the exceptions to the rule that Western men gain status when they move to Southeast Asia, even though a large number of Western men have settled in cities like Pattaya and married local women.
But in the common opinion of Thai women, Western men actually rank only second to Thai men. Young Thai women tend to go for Western men only if their sexual market value among locals is considered low because they are divorcees with children, or have been working in the nightlife industry.
