I've been living in and traveling around China for the last decade.

For the last three years I've spent most my time in Sichuan province, living mainly in the capital Chengdu, but with frequent trips around China and to the other big city nearby called Chongqing. And I've traveled extensively around China, mainly for work, but also for pleasure.

Like most Westerner men, I've got a high libido and like having sex often, with lots of different women. There are millions of women in China, but being a foreigner it is often hard to break through that inter-cultural and male-female barrier.

Now, while there is the temptation and the ease of having sex with a prostitute - this is a country where most hotels have girls who ring or knock on your hotel room door - I am worried about the price you pay for that kind of contact, and STDs and other infections, AIDS particularly as these girls don't always use condoms, and also the potential for being ripped off, or worse still, taken to the local PSB (police).

Myself, I prefer having sex with young girls. I feel like an ambassador for the West, introducing them to the ways of sex and love. Over the years I've slept with almost 100 Chinese girls. Most are young, around 18-20, some even younger, plus a few older ones too. For about half it was their first sexual experience.

Some girls loose their virginity at 14; others are still in their late 20s or early 30s before they have their first sex.

As a foreigner, despite the distance as a 'foreign devil', you also carry with you some advantages by virtue of your birthplace - and the color of your skin. Because you come from the West, they'll assume you are an American, rich, with a libido the size of Texas, a penis like a donkey's and a hair body. They'll also see you as a potential way out of poverty, or at least a step up in the prestige rankings. It's good to be seen with a foreigner. And yes, others do assume that if you are with a Chinese woman, you are shagging her, and yes, that you are wanting it every day - thanks to all those American movies.

So, you've got some good things going for you. Even in a place where there are far more boys than girls.

OK, how do you turn this babe-magnet into tight pussies and carpet burns? To start with, you are gonna be approached by women in China wherever you go. Make sure they aren't hookers - usually noticeable by their skimpy clothing, make up, cell phone, etc.

Bars are good places to meet Chinese women, so are discos. There are some cute babes out there, and egged on by their friends they might even initiate conversation. Or want to practice their English with you. Or pose for a photo with their new-found foreign 'friend'. English corners are worth a try, along with tea-houses. In fact anywhere is good. On the street, if you see a nice woman, go and ask her something - one great thing about being a foreigner in China.

Usually you've got to build up a relationship before you can bed her. Often she is with her friends, and unless you are a stud, or handy with chloroform, you'll have a hard time trying to bang both of them.

So on meeting, make physical contact. Smile. Give out your name card - you should have one. And get her phone number. Test it on your mobile.

Generally if you move to a place in China, you'll have girls swarming all over you. Doesn't matter if you look ugly, or are old. So the aim is to convert a friendship into something more.

You can meet girls through other friends, at bars, cafes, restaurants. They might use the pretence of wanting to practice English. Fine, go with it. Be aware that others might be watching and she will want to be careful about protecting her face, that is, she doesn’t want to be seen like a slut, after a foreigner. Even if she is. Or at least she won't want people thinking she is, or jumping to the conclusion that she is.

So if you arrange to meet somewhere else, do it discreetly. And realize the difference between public behavior and under-the-bed covers behavior.

One girl I fucked told me she didn't like being seen with me in public, because of what local gossips would say about her. And assume.

Despite this, Chinese girls are quite romantic, which is kinda fun, but also hard work. Pretty much can be romantic, like the fact that you've just met. Whatever.

Because girls tend to be with friends or a group, it may be hard. Go for the one who talks the best English, or one you fancy. Arrange to meet somewhere else to practice English, talk about the West, improve your Mandarin, etc.

Chinese girls tend not to drink, but you can as a guy. Realize, too, that they might have limited experience with sex, if at all, and don't enjoy the freedom from parental scrutiny that we have. Also their experience of men might not be the greatest.

Still, it can be hard work seducing a girl. But if you meet somewhere, take her back to your pad. Around sunset is as good a time as any if you have a view. Put on some music. Dance. Watch a DVD. Offer her a shoulder rub. Hold her hand.

Then take things from there. Slowly. She might be going into unknown territory - but there are some girls that have had foreign boyfriends. She'll be wary about your presence, and size. And your hairiness. So be reassuring. Take it slowly. Compare bodies and hair. Give her a back massage. And kisses.

Two things are needed if you plan on taking things further: condoms and lubricant. Chinese girls tend to be reluctant and demure. You have to do the work. Don't expect a blow job. Some regard it as dirty. Having a shower beforehand helps. She might be hesitant to let you go down on her. More often than not she'll have untrimmed pubes.

One of the things I like about young girls, or young women and Chinese older women too, is that they are slim. That means light. So don't crush them. They might have small breasts but their nipples seem to be big by comparison.

Cos they might have only had some riverside groping or back lane feeling up, they might not feel too confident about having sex. So that is where you are the foreign expert, guiding them into the pleasures of the flesh.

So once you've done a fair bit of foreplay, despite her reluctance, you might be pleasantly surprised to find her quite wet - once you ease open her legs. She won't want to loose face by being so easy - though you might want to have your face between her legs.

How when it comes to her touching you, you have to guide her, to stroke you, etc. Again, don't expect a 69. I'd say that half the girls I slept with let me go down on them, and half of them sucked my cock - eventually. But most of them I fucked, though with some it is difficult. Why? What if you like younger girls? Hang out where they are, in non-threatening places. For a couple of years I taught English among high school students and also took private students. For a culture which is quite restrained, the girls are quite physical, putting their arms around you, etc. And writing you love notes and cute stuff like that.

Be wary of girls looking for money so they can buy more jewelry etc. But also be aware that if you are good in bed, your last conquest can help get you more girls visiting the 'virgin surgeon’.

Have I had any problems with the police or authorities? Nope. Be aware though that you might be under some form of surveillance in hotels, or if your job is of that sort. Most officials are happily banging parlor girls or getting barbershop hand jobs or having mistresses. I've had more problems trying to get out of work party visits to saunas.

Before you come to China, bring lots of condoms your size and some lube. Maybe a book or two with illustrations on sex if you want to give her something to read and do.

What's the sex like? Pretty good, especially if there is an age difference and you can appreciate everyman's dream of being a 40 year old boning a gal half his age and making her come. There's definitely some for the home video collection.

Improving your language skills will open more girls’ legs. Generally Chinese girls are friendly, once the ice is broken. In fact you'll get so much better treatment as a foreign guest in China, as apposed to elsewhere.

Before I forget, there are lots of newly divorced Chinese women out there, some with kids. While not my preference, I've nevertheless had some great sex with these women, who are more relaxed and able to respond than their more frigid sisters.

Also, for any Black men reading this, there's good and bad news. Chinese are quite racist, and think incorrectly that Black men are the missing link with the chimps. But the girls also realize that Black men have big schlongs. So treat with caution and lubricant.

In China, age confers more prestige, so it’s OK if you are older and you are banging a teenager. Just as we think all Asian look the same, they think all foreigner look the same. As in most Asian countries, dressing well, so you look worth something, rather than like a dirty backpacker - helps. I have blond hair which I think I could attribute to getting half my lays. And blue eyes. Chinese like conformity, so you really stand out if you are a foreigner.

Have some pics of your home and family, whatever that means to you. Preferably not the last 17 year old you rooted.

Bring over, too, some DVDs if you have particular behavior you'd like her to do for you. After all, it seems to be working with those pandas, showing them sex ed videos.

My advice, for what it is worth, is just go for it. Respect the women. Don't force yourself on them. Build relationships then take them to the next level. For me there is something really satisfying about having sex with a beautiful young woman, particularly if she comes while we are fucking. But there's more than just sex, it’s about being with someone, sharing the sensuality of bodies, making it one of the greatest experiences known to man and woman.

Don't be a Western guy who lets the side down by exploiting that. Or using her. Because ultimately it will be you who will be the looser, too. Don't think that if you are rich you can score all the time. Work on your personal skills. Work out who you are. What you add to the equation. What you have to offer. What makes you different. Why you are staying up late in a bar or cafe for a girl who's caught your eye.

Before I go, also be aware that in Sichuan, as in all of China, prostitution is everywhere. And with it the problems of AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, forced kidnappings and smuggling of young girls from country areas to work in city brothels. My advice is stay away from this scene. Or if you are partaking, really, you shouldn't be paying more than 200 Yuan for sex - unless it involves great head too, and more than one girl.

Another thing, it is hard to tell if some women are 16 or 36. Not that it matters. They'll have problems too with your age, and also your hairiness. You might need to reassure them that you aren't that hairy, that they can touch your body hair, for example on your chest, and that your penis isn't actually that big. Otherwise she might seize up on you before you've entered.
